Presentation of Laughter Yoga in the library.
The municipal library in Via Fra Cristoforo 6 in Milan is a bit ' secluded from the center, but it is not far away, given its proximity to the subway stop Famagusta - line 2. In addition, bus 59, which has a stop right there, connect in a few minutes to Piazzale Cantore (Porta Genova). In short, it is easy to reach, is bright and welcoming and has a garden where you can read and study (or laughing?).
Generally, libraries are quiet places, where, often, we retired to look a bit 'of peace. This, however, in particular, is a particularly important place for social gatherings: in fact reserve spaces and times for activities of various kinds.
Wednesday, February 2 there will be a presentation of Laughter Yoga, at 17, which will be followed by a brief demonstration: show films from around the world, we will hear testimonies from scholars and researchers, as well as that of the founder of this nice discipline.
The innovative idea, launched by the founder of Laughter Yoga, an Indian physician named Madan Kataria (www.laughteryoga.org), is to spread all over the world, seminars, workshops and trainings particular to this discipline (all activities for a fee), the "laughter club", conversely, completely free of charge, offer free people an opportunity to practice in this practice, just enough to have benefits on both physical and on the emotional and social development.
In India (or in other countries with a hot climate), people gather for an hour Order now. Are Laughter Yoga exercises in the morning, then regenerated, they go to work with optimism and energy. In the West, because of the weather conditions were not always favorable, you can find when you are lucky, once a week and should be able to count on a protected space. Unthinkable laugh frost of winter, shivering in the cold ...
That said, it is not easy to find a structure that may take you for free, especially in Milan, where the costs of the houses, even the most modest, are preposterous ... That's why I am particularly grateful to the Director, Dr. Emily Contini, who believed in this initiative and has opened the doors of the library. I am convinced that it is a wonderful opportunity to develop this practice in our city in a bright place, with a garden that can accommodate the weather permits.
The opening of the Club will be announced during the presentation, February 2 to 17. On the same occasion, will be given the exact dates and times for future meetings of the Laughter Club. Guideline this will be the Saturday immediately following the closing of the library service "traditional", around 14.30. In the next post I will tell you how was the show and I'll give some more details.
you soon!
Loretta
Wednesday, February 2 PS If you have an hour of free time, at 17, do not miss it! :-)
